相机放下之后

During a weekend trip, Oliver visits a covered market. One stall has bright vegetables arranged in wooden boxes, with handwritten labels beside them. He raises his camera just as the owner steps into the frame. She holds up a hand, and he immediately lowers the camera. He had been thinking about colors, not about the person in his picture.

周末旅行时，奥利弗逛了一家有顶棚的市场。一个摊位把鲜艳的蔬菜摆在木箱里，旁边放着手写标签。他举起相机时，摊主恰好走进取景范围。她抬手示意，他立即放下相机。此前他想着的是色彩，没有想到照片里的人。

Oliver apologizes and asks whether he may photograph the vegetables without including her. She agrees, but requests that the price board stay out of the photo because some prices are being changed. He checks the frame with her before taking a picture. The extra conversation takes less than a minute and makes the situation comfortable again.

奥利弗道歉，询问能否只拍蔬菜、不把她拍进去。她同意了，但要求避开价格牌，因为一些价格正在调整。他拍照前和她确认了画面。多出来的交谈不到一分钟，却让气氛重新变得自在。

At another stall, a craft seller simply says no. Oliver thanks him and moves on without asking him to explain. He realizes that permission is specific: agreement from one seller does not cover the whole market, and permission to take a photograph does not automatically mean permission to use it in an advertisement.

在另一个摊位，一位手工艺品卖家直接说不可以。奥利弗道谢后离开，没有要求对方解释。他意识到，同意有具体范围：一位卖家同意，不代表整个市场都同意；允许拍照，也不自动意味着允许把照片用在广告里。

Later, Oliver writes a few notes about sounds, smells, and conversations from the morning. His collection of pictures is smaller than expected, but his memory of the visit is richer. Asking first did not spoil the experience. It reminded him that a market is also somebody's workplace, not merely a background for a visitor's camera.

后来，奥利弗记下上午的声音、气味和交谈。他的照片比预期少，关于这次游览的记忆却更丰富。先询问并没有毁掉体验，反而提醒他：市场也是别人的工作场所，不只是游客相机里的背景。

He asked whether he might photograph the display.

他询问能否拍摄陈列物。

A yes today does not automatically mean a yes tomorrow.

今天同意，并不自动意味着明天也同意。
