借进借出、说给谁听：动词要选对

Han's phone battery is low before a group meeting. His classmate has a charger. Han asks, 'Could I borrow your charger?' He will receive it and return it later. The classmate answers, 'Sure, I can lend it to you until lunch.' She is the person giving it temporarily.

小韩小组开会前手机快没电了。同学有充电器。他问：Could I borrow your charger? 他会借入，稍后归还。同学回答：当然，我可以借给你用到午饭时。她是暂时把东西借出去的人。

Both speakers describe the same exchange from different sides. Han borrows the charger from his classmate; his classmate lends the charger to Han. 'Could you borrow me your charger?' uses the wrong verb for this request in standard English. Change borrow to lend, keeping you as the giver.

两个人从不同角度描述同一次借用。小韩 borrow...from 同学；同学 lend...to 小韩。在标准英语中，Could you borrow me your charger? 的动词不适合这个请求，应把 borrow 改成 lend，you 仍然是借出的人。

Later, Han passes on a message: 'Jin said the meeting starts at two.' He can add the listener with to: 'Jin said to me that the meeting starts at two.' Another option is, 'Jin told me the meeting starts at two.' Tell connects directly to the person in this pattern.

后来，小韩转告消息：小金说会议两点开始。say 后可以用 to 补出听者，例如 Jin said to me that...。也可以说 Jin told me the meeting starts at two。在这个句型中，tell 直接接听者。

Han records four chunks: borrow something from someone, lend someone something, say something to someone, and tell someone something. He also writes 'tell a story', which can stand without naming a listener. These patterns are more useful than a rule saying tell must always have a person immediately after it.

小韩记录了四组搭配：borrow something from someone、lend someone something、say something to someone 和 tell someone something。他还写下 tell a story，这个搭配可以不点明听者。记搭配比记成‘tell 后面永远必须马上接人’更有用。

Could you lend me a pen? Could I borrow a pen?
